PRAISE

Postby XBambi's RevengeX » Tue Jan 30, 2018 2:57 pm

the brilliance of Mike Judge

His new show 'Tales from the Tourbus' is a FANTASTIC oral and animated history of outlaw and country music.

Full of crazy and unsettling and lovely and neurotic stories, from way deep inside the belly of the beast.

I want to see this very much but isn't it buried on some pay cable channel no one in their right mind would pay for? And it's not even the same useless channel that Girlfriend Experience is on (another show I want very much to see).

I don't own a TV but the link above should work. GE looks interesting, I may check that out - I'm at a lose end looking for something decent at the moment, although the recent David Simon series looks worthwhile.

I liked Praise a little but Soulfource Revolution was better.

My co-worker was telling me how great the Mike Judge show is, but I don't have cable and am scared of any and all .ru domains. Speaking of Mike Judge shows on pay cable, Silicon Valley is pretty great.

Wait, this thread isn't about 7Seconds, the band Praise, or Mike from the band Judge?

The Deuce? I liked it a lot, but I have a high tolerance for '70s NYC stuff. If you can get past the tube tops and the wide lapels, it's pretty interesting.
One of the guys behind Girlfriend Experience is director Lodge Kerrigan, who made 3 great movies over a decade ('93 - '03) before directing an alleged 'disaster' that screened once at Cannes and has never been seen again. He's been doing TV ever since.

This. A Vulture Wake album out today. And that Swervedriver record is called RAISE.

Was hoping this was a 7 Seconds thread. Pretty cool band opened for them on that tour.
