For any Long Islanders (if there are any left on this board at all), it's also screening at Cinema Arts Center in Huntington.

I'm hoping to catch the screening here in Philadelphia in late August.

I was planning on going to the one in Tampa in two weeks.

Anybody know exactly why Iggy Pop is involved with this? Was documentary-whore Dave Grohl too busy doing a DKs straight to DVD behind the scenes? When I think "Gilman" I don't really think of Iggy Pop?

Some of my pictures are in this movie. But I couldn't make the first showing here, and have to miss the next two as well. Might have to wait for the DVD.

I still got my membershipcard from 1988 somewhere.
Listening to Punk today is like listening to Glenn Miller in 1982.

I know who gives zero fucks, a dude in a graveyard with a flyin' V and a comic book action hero t-shirt!

The Hurricane made me miss the Tampa showing. Those of you that went, how was it?

It was good (sorry for forgetting to report back earlier). There were some glaring omissions (particularly Samiam), but there's only so much time to cover the entire story especially since they started with the original SF scene of the late '70s and then went into the '80s scene, crossover and eventually the East Bay scene helmed by Gilman St and its predecessors. It's definitely worth seeing, though.
