SHIFT/BIG COLLAPSE

Discuss. I love this band. Pathos rules, Spacesuit is better, Get In is 50/50.

Weird! I've been on quite the kick. Ironically "Get In" is my favorite haha

not much to discuss as you have said the truth in the first post.

was lucky enough to see them open for 108 (whose stage banter scarred me for life) in Burlington circa 94/95 (only had Pathos, which I purchased).

spacesuit got worn out on tape, will be playing it today in honor of this post.

get in was their attempt at trying to gain a wider audience w major failure.

Liked this band a lot,and still have the records. Kinda like a lightweight Quicksand.

Got a copy of "Get In" on vinyl from Rev (along with the Serpico record I mentioned in another post) for $8. Not bad

JGJR found me a cheap used copy of "Pathos" that I'll have to pick up from him at some point too.

I just need "Spacesuit"

You cannot flip through a $1 CD bin without finding multiple SHIFT releases. At least during the years 1995 - 2005.
Nothing against the band, but that was just the way of the world in the mid-90s. Same could be said for Orange 9mm and Wool and Surgery and St. Johnny and Cell and...

Definitely. I got my CD copy of "Get In" from (I think?) Repo in Bryn Mawr for $1, maybe a few months after its release. Wool CD probably the same way. And Handsome.

Don't forget Big Chief, Chumbawamba, and "Too High to Die" by the Meat Puppets.

I added BIG COLLAPSE to the title of this thread because it's Josh Loucka's (vocalist/guitarist/songwriter of Shift) band after SHIFT and they are definitely worth checking out. Gavin from BURN on bass.

Just leaving this here, great band that I'd do anything to see play.

I put the SPACESUIT cd in my car that I bought at a record shop near my house 3 years ago and I've never taken it out.
