They just added Danzig to the Friday bill in lieu(d) of a show he was supposed to play in Chicago this Friday:

The show was moved out of the Congress due to its much needed renovations. The venue has certainly seen better days and needed some uninterrupted fixing.

Ha, this is bullshit, the place lost its liquor license and hasn't hosted a show in months.

Did they just forget to file an application for it (happened here to a club I won't mention a few years back) or did they lose it because of a specific incident? Either way, I'm curious.

Revoked because the building violated 26 city building/health codes.

And because the owner is a shithead.

Hence the need for uninterrupted renovations :)

Plus who gives a shit about Danzig? His last show was horrible. He got blown up after a couple songs and was winded the rest of the show and just kept holding the mic out hoping the crowd would carry him through the rest of his half-assed performance.

I just saw him the other night and thought he was great. He mostly played songs off the first album, plus a bunch of Misfits songs with Doyle including London Dungeon and Bullet. I left happy.

They posted the schedule with set times for each day:

http://chicago.riotfest.org/events/2013/09/13/

I'm very surprised at how few conflicts there are for me. Other than Rancid vs. Public Enemy I can pretty much see everyone I want to see without a lot of tough decisions.
