In reality, it's either a horrible choice or an ironic one.
Unlike pretty much anything in their catalog, that song has no drums and no bass, so neither dead band member's talents are featured in that song.
(Ok, Mark is singing.)
But it's probably my favorite Morphine song as well, possibly because it's so out of the norm for them.
