Sorta heartbreaking to read/see/hear this story. Great version of Death Valley '69 though and they sounded in good form for the show.

And they had to good sense to play 'Flower' on their final show.

Well, they're certainly no (insert name of some shitty Oi band here).

That is clearly true. Those bands have some rhythm.

Yes, they sound like noise to me. Not a fan at all. Couldn't even name a song.

I miss SY but I love seeing the members other projects too. Lee has been exceptionally interesting the last few years. All of them have made great music since the breakup.

SY is kinda like cilantro. If you don't like it, they'll sound like noise. If you do, though, it's delicious. I am firmly in the "they are great" camp; they get better as I get older, too.

Sonic Youth are certainly not for you. You can’t figure out their music, and their art/sound requires one be a little heavier in the brain cells dept.

Not such a funny joke considering my 58 year old brother died of a ruptured brain aneurysm on Monday. I will be burying him on my birthday on Monday.

That's terrible news, Lew. I am very sorry to hear that.

Hey, thanks guys!

It's been a kind of shit birthday for me. Buried my older brother today. Also, found out a great friend of mines father died early this morning after he and his wife came to the viewing for my brother yesterday. Now, I will be going to that funeral on Thursday.

Live it up while you are still above ground!
