haha. Yeah, I thought it was more funny than anything. To be honest I don't really ever think about "favorites" and stuff...but they're definitely up there and if my listening for the past 3 months is any indication it wouldn't be out of line at this point to say they're my favorite.

Just to keep it going, I was cleaning out my garage last week, found the memory-box of whatnot, spied this in the heap.

Doughboys opened this show too, IIRC.

That other board is something else.

Also, related: I sold a bunch of my XL band shirts to a friend and made another KingsRoad order for t shirts that are smaller w/ the proceeds. I love the designs (hi Chris!) and it's nice to have other colors than black. I actually looked at a bunch of bands websites for t shirts and all most bands have are black and white shirts.

Yeah I try and avoid black shirts if possible, and Bill hates white ones, so we have a lot of color to choose from. I'm happy fans of the band are down with a bit of color. I admit it's really my huge aversion to normal colors that is behind it! The band fully supports my wacky ideas.

I'm a longtime lurker, but I'll take the props as accurate as it *is* my first post here.

Far from a "collection" but some of the band photos (at the 1988-or-so Sarasota Armory show), of me and Peter at the Smithsonian, and a DN concert fliers on the main page are my offerings to the interweb.

So, like, I've been around a little bit. I'm just not one of the gang here. I just pop in to see what's going on and if there's anything I've missed.

never mind me, Chris is an awesome dude. oh btw, did you know he draws cool pictures too?

anyways, was disappointed most of my stockage friends and friends that I grew up listening to the DENTS or ALL didn't make the SF showing (with the exception of my neighbor/1 stockage friend) then again, they had 3 other showings over the weekend.

okay, I don't want to spoil it for anybody that hasn't seen it yet, but if yer a fan of the DENTS or ALL, you won't be disappointed. it's everything you ever hoped for. The documentary starts off REALLY fast on everything comes together. I know there's oh so much time you can fit in telling the beginnings, but the guys crammed everything they could in there. I know there are friends that like ALL over the DENTS and in this documentary, ALL get's their just due. It actually seems like dark times during that era, but it was great going down memory lane during the 90's. Where the documentary really slows down is when you get know the band members as individual people. When I mean slow, I mean a good focus that you can sink your teeth into.

Obviously it ends off on a high note since we all know they are still going at it. Personally, after seeing the DENTS at FYF, GV30 and a couple months ago in SF, they are better than the past on stage. They just nail everything live. Same could be said for ALL w/ Scott when I saw them.

I'm glad to be a fan of both bands. I love their music dearly and I've made lots of life time friends from the boards. so many unforgettable memories due to the DENTS & ALL.

Yeah the guys did an amazing job putting the film together for sure. It won "People's Choice Award" at the Nevada City Film Fest, so they did another showing of it up there again last night. It would seem even if you start as not being a fan of either bands, that it still is an interesting enough story. Wretch is right, you won't be let down.
