I came for Sloan and stayed for the wiki entry on Doc Hopper/Chris Pierce. But no Groucho Marxists love?! Gotta say, I'm disappointed.

Dead off Wiki entry

So as some have seen, I've been playing lots of tapes lately - last night this account I follow on IG called @tapeheadcity got a haul of Canadian tapes in and I was able to grab "One Chord To Another". Stoked.

Somewhat Sloan related since we're talking about another Halifax band here, but I had Love Tara (Eric's Trip) on cassette back in the '90s; wonder if it's on there.

I just got that album on vinyl recently (along with albums 2 & 3)

Thanks for the tip. I see that they're all available on their Bandcamp now. It's tempting!

Oh right, d'oh. I haven't listened to Stern in decades and forgot, admittedly.

Thought this would've gotten lost with all of the thread derailment.

I find myself always gravitating towards Jay's songs so I think he's my favorite.

To put it in the most general terms, Patrick's songs rock the hardest, Jay's are the most twee, Chris splits the difference and Andrew's are the weirdest. There you go, Soan in one sentence.

Honestly, this is spot on. Should be placed on a hype sticker on the next LP
