I thought for sure that I’d mentioned them here before, but a search came up with nada. Anyway, ever wish you could take The Cure’s pop and goth mood swings and combine them to be on a more even keel, without the excesses of either extreme? Of course you have. We all have. Well, Eagulls have done that for you on their 2016 LP Ullages. Short story even shorter, if you dig classic Cure, check this record out.

Their 1st Lp was much heavier, more Killing Joke-inspired. I like them. Did they break up after Ullages?

The first album is good too, but the second is more Cure-y. They haven’t released anything in 5 years, so I don’t know if they’re still together.
