They never put out a bad album. Saw them many times. First time was 'All Rise' tour 1985 at NYC's Danceteria. (No, Madonna wasn't there).
Hope the new album is as good as Jettison. Prolly my favorite.

Interview is great, as is the song.

The 3 singles they did about 10 years ago were ok to "meh" for me. This song is the best I've heard from them since "Home"

Yeah, love the new tune/video. One of those bands that just cannot do any wrong in my book.

Loved the interview; great job, creature! The new song is the best thing they've done in over 30 years. It's stunning, like an All Rise outtake or something but with clearly modern themes in the lyrics. The video for it is great, too. I agree that the 7"s from about a decade ago were just OK. They sounded good, but I can't remember any of the songs. edog, you bought one of them from me, right? Now I kinda wish I still had them, but glad one of them went to one of my favorite folks.

Anyway, I don't know where this level of songwriting was from JP a decade ago; my guess is on The Bomb's last Lp, but I know jaygun had a major hand in that, too, obviously. Either way, I'm happy about this. The Lp should be a corker.

They're a special band for me as well; Understand? is my favorite, but anything from Throb Throb up to and including Understand? is essential listening.
