Any of you current or former Philly guys ever go to Bob & Barbara's?

Is that the East Coast home of the Heart Attack burger???

Cause if it is, do they deliver to NY?

Never visited in my 6 years in the city, but it was well loved (for awhile at least). They'd close South Street every 4th of July and have bands play out in front of the club. My haunt was the Tritone across the street, now long gone.

I've been reading a bit about the jazz history in Philadelphia and that club popped up on a few sites.

I've been a few times. It's best to go on nights when the in-house band is still playing. As far as I know, they still are, but I'd make sure, especially with everything going on now. It's one of the last dive/hipster (for lack of a better way of saying it) bars left in that area, especially after the Tritone (right across the street) closed at some point in the last decade. That was the site of a few Gerunds performances, including the very first public one back in 2008 and that's how I discovered this message board.

Well, at least we now finally know who to blame for JGJR being here. ;)

Glad you attended that show.

Don't look at me!

And I think it was a Thirteen show w. guest appearance by Cissy that led JGJR here.

So wait. Does this have to do with food or not? Cuz if not, I'm leaving.

No, but apparently they have the best drag show in all of Philly.

Will Miss. Mona Foot be there? She did a mean "Bitchy Bingo" on Monday nights in Manhattan circa 2002.

It was. Blame Nick because he told me about it earlier that day.
