Some of the stuff by bands like Mob 47 and the Finnish 80s bands like Bastards or Riisteyt is just too chaotic and wild sounding (IMO) to what I tend to think of as the standard d-beat mold.

Yeah, I love mob47 and anti-cimex too. I don't think I've ever heard zyklome A. I do love a lot of d-beat records from the 90s (labels like Finn Records were killing it then), but haven't heard much from the 2000s that I like. I agree that the sound can get tiring in large doses or even in small doses unless it's done really well.

I'm a fan of this, their early singles, and the album they made right after this one. I will say that the band did better on 7'' and 12'' singles/eps, and I think they were eclipsed by later d-beat bands. Still great stuff when I'm in the right mood though.

If you haven't already, check out "How Do You Sleep?" (Go Kart Records - 2000). It's absolutely crushing and might actually be the best Varukers record when it comes down to it.
