I haven't heard even close to every Dischord release - so I'll get back to you on that....but it's definitely my favorite Dischord release up to this point....as much as I do love the two early Minor Threat 7"'s and the Faith/Void split.

I'm with you on that. Very much looking forward to listening to the two new episodes!

I’m more of a This Side Up guy. Still Screaming is great, but it always feels a bit too long, whereas when I finish TSU, I just want to listen again.

I've been listening to both for over 25 years and I used to think it was no contest that Still Screaming was the best but now I'm a This Side Up guy as well. Excellent follow up.

The SCREAM episode part 1 was really cool. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing from Pete. Nuts to hear that they toured without having anything released yet.

Glad you enjoyed it. And after my co-host's SUPREME fuck-up (which we discuss so I'm not breaking any news here) - it was awesome that he came back for a re-do. I was really happy to have him on.

By my count we have five more Scream episodes to do - so I'm hoping we can get Franz and Kent on at some point too.

New End On End is now out.

This week, we took a break from the Dischord catalog, and discussed the 2014 documentary 'Salad Days', featuring an interview with director Scott Crawford.....and a quick cameo from Stigma!!

Well - it is Dischord related. And I feel like we did mention that on an earlier episode I was on....although editing may have left that on the cutting room floor.

Good episode. I guess I can see fights at the early Government Issue shows. Glad those days subsided.

Out of Step is my favorite MT release - so I tend to agree. The second guitar added a lot of dimension.

Thirded. I think it helped that their songwriting chops had also progressed by that point. As the guy who always says he hates “melodic hardcore” I have to say that this is my ideal version of that style. Put the melody in the music. Keep the vocals yell-y.

Best ep yet. Where the fuck are the outtakes that Steve talks about??? Ian is good about releasing other people’s stuff, but kind of shit at releasing crucial stuff from his own bands.

Trivia: the guy from Angela Instruments is the dad of one of the guys in Give.

Boycott Stabb episode is out today. Tom Lyle is the featured guest. Bassist Rob Moss (ex-Artificial Peace & played on the '83 GI tour) helps to fill in some history, and Drew Stone (filmmaker, Antidote, NYHC Chronicles) gives us a few minutes of his memories & insights.

Yes....I did hear. And we have them a nice shout out on ours....although - we're still infants compared to them. I've been a fan of Mojack for a long, long time - and truth be told....SST is closer to my heart than Dischord - it's just what I grew up with. But I really wouldn't have been co-hosting End on End if not for Mojack.

At some point, we may do a crossover episode with them - an SST v. Dischord thing.....but I feel like we really haven't "earned" it yet.

The new episode is up. A detour from the Dischord catalog to talk with the great Tim Kerr. Lots of Big Boys talk on this one. I can't believe there's not a single Big Boys thread on Daghouse....I couldn't find one anyway.

I believe it - I used the search bar but didn't find any specific threads about them....but I have no doubt there's a lot of love for that band on these boards.

Yeah - you never know what you're going to get with interviewees....but he was a great story-teller. Next Monday's episode is just going to be the rest of the interview with him where I think he gets into more of his post-Big Boys bands....which I honestly know very little about....I do have some Lord High Fixers records which I like.

We'll get back to the actual Dischord catalog in two weeks.

I haven't listened to hardly any post- BB bands from Tim, but I thought Randy Biscuit's CARGO CULT (on Touch and Go) was a very good and underappreciated band.

And this bizarro performance:
