I will hopefully be seeing her twice in the next couple of months. I say hopefully, because the first show isn't listed on her website, so I'm skeptical. The second show is, and is at the opera house in downtown Denver. It should sound AMAZING!

Huge fan here. I think some of my old posts from that thread under my old handle were lost, but anyway the new song is great. I probably won't be seeing her this time around as a) It's at the Electric Factory and b) I can't get out to too many shows these days and I've already got FLAG and Superchunk in September.

I do think that Blacklisted is my favorite record of the last dozen years, but I like all of her stuff (I just re-read the thread on the old board).

Everything she's done is awesome except for the last record from 2009. Sucked.

I guess I'm the only one but... don't get it. Oh well, let me put on this Angelic Upstarts record I didn't have. :)

Craziness. That record is great (just like all of her other stuff esp. past The Virginian).

I mean, she's got a great voice and all but I think her songs are (in general) a total snooze.

Dunno, but she started out in the hardcore/punk scene. She designed a flyer for Dag Nasty when they played in (I think) Seattle or Tacoma (probably the latter).

Fittingly, she has an answer to that here.

She's on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast this week. She played two songs that were both good. How's the new record, super-fans?

Solid. Better than "Middle Cyclone," but not as great as "Blacklisted"/"Furnace Room Lullaby." I like it.

I've yet to hear the whole thing (I've only heard a few songs), but very few things are as great as those two albums, so that's holding her up to her own very high standard!

Today. It's on the Spotify. NPR has had it up as a stream for the last week, too, I think.
