What do you diehards think? Does it have the best songs on it.

Absolutely not. Greatest Kiss is much better, though very tilted towards the '73-'79 era that most consider their best. There's nothing past 1980 on that comp, but it's a good place to start, at least.

Yeah, too much later-era yuckiness on that Kissworld kompilation.

Love Gun (even though I skip the cover).

Bought it on 8 track at a flea market for .15 when I was 7.

First album is the only one that comes close.

I've always wondered if the masters from Hotter Than Hell were destroyed. That record sounds like total dogshit.

First lp. Deuce, Strutter, Cold Gin, Black Diamond are all classics.

No.

Leading off with Crazy Crazy Nights eliminated it from contention of being taken seriously. And Shandi? Ugh.

I love Kiss....and I think everything up to Alive II is pretty awesome....and even like quite a bit after that too....but if you're asking about the one collection you should have - this wouldn't be it.

If you're only going to get one Kiss album - get Alive.

Pretty sure I said this earlier in the thread, but my pick would be this. All the classics and a few great deep cuts, too ("Two Sides of the Coin").

My automatic answer used to be Destroyer, but Hotter Than Hell is closing in.

BTW, I was raised on 70’s and 80’s R&B when I was a kid before I got into Heavy Metal, but Paul Stanley’s new soul project is great! Full of 70’s R&B covers!
