Thanks! They’re some funny dudes. The article has some interesting, little-known Dischord-related stuff in it. And some excellent quotes from BB and Jeff Nelson.

Posted: Sat Apr 21, 2018 6:48 pmDamn, reading how dorky and silly and irreverent they were, that sounds like teenage me and something that I'd be all over. I need to relisten to those releases, I just thought they were kinda Blood Bats-ish when I first heard them and never gave them a second thought and the humor/tongue in cheekiness went over my head. Thanks for capturing/documenting off the wall stuff like that! So much better than asking Ian about Straight Edge.

Funny that you said it reminded you of your teen self; I had exactly the same feeling. My friend Mike and I recorded some supremely dorky stuff purely because it made us laugh. The Snakes were definitely a cut or 20 above the stuff we did, but it was definitely a similar vibe.

I just meant that I loved punk rock, but didn't quite hate my parents that much and wasn't interested in rolling around in broken glass & vomiting and smashing the state. I just didn't have the energy or motivation, I'd rather walk like a chicken in a store and talk like a drunk pirate for fun. Smart punx!
