Although newly remastered-I will pass. I already have Crazy From The Heat and Eat 'Em and Smile, maybe they will release the DVD as a stand-alone:

You mean they really couldn't squeeze on this career highlight?!

No love for Skyscraper? I remember an assembly in the gym in 7th grade when we had a cover band perform "Just Like Paradise" (which was a big hit right around that time).

JGJR-I have to get that one, it was the last one to feature the original band.

Side note-I will be seeing Billy Sheehan play for the first time this month-hope they play "Shy Boy" :D

I've actually never really listened to any of DLR's solo stuff. Worth checking out?

As an aside, if the approach to remastering is anything like most remasters these days, it's not really a selling point. Those old non-remastered VH discs actually sound quite good.

yeah, remasters aren't really worth it. i've been doing my own to make things a little louder without completely brickwalling the album like modern methods.

i've only really listened to dlr's "skyscraper," which sounds like a continuation of "1984" era van halen. hina is an awesome song.

what will make this worth it though is just to have the old (dumb) videos, and i think it includes all of this, which i've always wanted to digitize:

After the CRAZY FROM THE HEAT EP? Nope, nothing worth checking out of Dave's solo-work. And "Living in Paradise" sounds like a Boston knock-off song.

I've bought tubes from Terry Kilgore. True story.

I apologize for bringing up BOSTON. No musician deserves that much cruelty. ;)
