Kindling - Hush; Pretty, Heavy

This is probably the best record I've heard in the last few years. It's in the MBV/Drop Nineteens/Slowdive ballpark, but a bit heavier/fuzzier. I'm pretty sure it's on all the streaming platforms. You can also check it out on Bandcamp:

It's also available on LP and CD, though not through Bsndcamp for some reason.

This. Very good. Very well recorded too. They sound more Brit than Mass.

Different kind of fuzz. MBV uses fuzz with other effect for texture, the fuzz on here is heavy rockin', almost doom territory sometimes (while still being very pretty). Also you can actually hear the drums on this.

There is a Slowdiveyness to them, and the vocals sound very Veronica Falls sometimes, but there is something about the heaviness of the guitars that feels very American to me, it's almost Hum-like. They also remind me a lot of the Drop Nineteens.

No disrespect to Slowdive, but they are not for me. Tried a few times and I know peeps like em. (Jack Rabid is always singing their praises). They don't appeal to me. Kindling sound more like Stereolab with a heavier end. Catchier. I put them on my Bandcamp wishlist.

I AM GOING INTO DEBT with all these pending purchases!!!!
