Reason #497587435 why SST Records sucks / Is this legal?

I'm too lazy to eBay and have a friend who has a much more high trafficked account so he sells my stuff for me and just takes a couple bucks off the top for his troubles.

Anyway -

I had this Black Flag "Everything Went Black" shirt I bought FROM SST in 2013, that I wore a bunch, that I had him sell. It had some bids. And SST had it taken down. A shirt I bought with my own money, not a bootleg...yet they took it down. They did the same thing a couple weeks ago when I tried to eBay a Descendents shirt (official design - the Santa Cruz mashup) which is from WELL AFTER they were on SST, yet they got it taken down.

How is this a thing?

They have ZERO legal right to have those auctions taken down, but eBay are spineless assholes and undoubtedly cave immediately if anyone makes any noise or threatens legal action. OTOH, if you buy something on eBay and find that it's a fake, YOU are responsible for proving it. Basically, they follow the path of least resistance in both cases; it's easier to cancel an auction than fight it, and it's easier to leave a completed auction completed instead of reversing the transaction. Long story short, they blow.

I've never sold anything on Ebay, but as the seller did they not indicate what rationale they had for ending the auction? Like, was there something they referenced? Seems strange that you couldn't resell something, legit or not? I mean, the whole site is reselling items right? Under what circumstances can an auction even get cancelled? Like, I said, I've only bought items so it never even crossed my mind.

P.S. Speaking of Descendents. I just saw the Descendents this Friday in Orlando. 38 songs! They played everything I wanted to hear, sounded great! Some drunk guy screamed at me for over 2m and threw a beer into my back because I was standing in front of his hobgoblin midget girlfriend! I wanted to crack his fucking skull with my fist/16oz PBR can, but instead just moved! I hope I can catch the Descendents a few more times in a smaller setting! This was in a House Of Blues and I went upstairs and the merch line was literally longer than the line to get into the club. At the end of the show I went by the booth and there was just 1 white tank-top/wife-beater shirt left (XL only) the LP and stickers. They sold out of everything they brought into the place. WTF! Good for them (and Shary!)
