Underground Garage is the best channel on Sirius/XM, after Howard 100. The Ko Melina Show is great too.

1. Three O'Clock Train - Stolen Thunder (Alex Soria 1966-2004)
2. Prime rib hobo dinners
3. Blue-spotted salamanders
4. Sunn 1200s hybrid bass head / Sunn 2x15 bass cab
5. '68 Fender P-Bass
6. Bell's Oarsman Ale
7. Montreal, QC
8. Sending that Last album to Greg Polard
9. Keen™ Timmons Chukka boots
10. 2013 SEL Ford Escape.

1. Threadless.com t-shirt sales
2. Philippe Garrel's Jealousy
3. Watching movies with my son - there's no way I would get such a kick out of Nacho Libre and The Three Stooges without him.
4. Writing new songs
5. Hanging out with friends at home > going out with friends, 90% of the time
6. Football (even just the little bit I watch every week)
7. Fall weather
8. Revisiting the Replacements/Paul Westeberg catalog
9. Two Lane Blacktop on Blu-ray
10. Marilyn's watermelon sorbet

Sure, that they made laugh (he's pretty great, actually). But I laughed a lot harder watching Milo double over every time some idiot got hit in the head with a hammer, chainsaw, etc.

I watched it with both of my boys and had the same reaction. Honestly, I think the actual PORTRAYAL of the Stooges was pretty great. The guys they got did a good job. It was the story line that was a bit lacking but at the same time, it's a Stooges movie, not Shakespeare.

Problem is, I HATE the Three Stooges. Always have. But I LOVE the Farrelly brothers and watched out of some twisted, completist film geek urge.

Thoughts on "Dumb and Dumber To" that is currently in production, then?

You going one way, I'm going the other.
We both walk right by, but we don't say a word.
We used to be this close, we used to be like brothers.
But now, because of one time, one word, one phrase

Farrelly's didn't hit their true stride as filmmakers until There's Something About Mary (although there's very funny gags in Dumb & Dumber and Kingpin). Truly underrated - Stuck on You and Hall Pass. Truly terrible - The Heartbreak Kid.

I never saw Heartbreak Kid or Stuck On You. I loved Hall Pass though and will attest it is highly underrated. I saw that in the theater actually and I barely ever see movies there anymore.

I love Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin, saw both of those when they came out as a teenager so maybe it's a time and place thing for me.

hall pass was just not good. also, that chick from the office had some weird kind of spray tan thing going on and i couldn't stop being distracted by it. farrely brothers started out great and just took a nosedive after something about mary. shallow hal was a godawful fucking movie. never saw all of the heartbreak kid, but the 20 minutes or so that i did witness were shit. kingpin will remain an all time classic though.

"Under Pressure," too and I like a few of the other singles from Let's Dance (admittedly) but yeah Scary Monsters is a great stop-off point in terms of his greatness. I actually think his last 3 albums have been his best in a very long time.
