By popular demand. I bet Hunter was instrumental in getting this done.

It was an oversight that came to light as I was interviewing people for a story I'm writing about the band.

Is there any chance the Vile Cherubs album would be placed on there? I'd love to hear that one again!

That's been back-burnered while they work on the 5-cd box set.

I had the original 12". It was weird. I can't remember if I liked it at this point. I liked that Reptile House better.

True, they were the better reptile-based named band.

Agreed. The Snakes Lp isn't very good (sorry).

Given how much The Snakes seemed to be influenced by the sillier end of the Captain-led Damned, I'm shocked at your estimation of their worth. Both Snakes LPs are solid poppy/punk/rock.

At least we can all agree in total solidarity that the Blood Bats put out an insulting 1st 12" but redeemed themselves with a fantastic 2nd album. I don't know why I'm going off topic here. My mind has just been sparked with a batch of records I bought within the same months back in the day.

I'll have to listen again. I admittedly only heard them within the last few years.

I can totally understand why Ian didn't want to put out I Won't Love You; it doesn't really fit into the Dischord cannon very well. Neither does the second LP. I liked IWLY when it came out, but not nearly as much as other Dischord releases from the same era. I think it's a really good record, but as an '80s Dischord release it's an odd fit.

Bzzzz, wrong.

Had some kinda demo before the LP as a kid. Loved it.

She's Got It Now, Serv-Pro Joe, Twelve Angry Men... c'mon.

PS - Two LPs.

Fair enough. You're way more familiar with them, but I just don't think they're in the same league with anything else that came out of DC then (Rites of Spring, later Faith, Gray Matter, Marginal Man, Dag Nasty, Embrace, Ignition, Swiz, Soulside, et al.). Perhaps that's unfair, though.

Of course they're not in the same league.

Mainly because there are no leagues.

As music taste is purely subjective.

True and I often argue the same thing.Let me rephrase it then. I just don't enjoy them as much, but also don't have 20-25 years of experience with them unlike most of the other bands I mentioned.

Funny that, I might like them more now than I did in the '80s. I liked it then, but didn't think it was punk enough or serious enough.

Red is the best color, much better than blue and so much better than yellow it's not even funny. Orange is by far the worst. Don't even talk to me about green.

Yup. If you'd had it on tape at 18, you'd probably like it more.

Maybe it's because our minds are more open as kids, maybe not as jaded, not as 'I've heard it before'? Who knows.

It's a combination of that, much more music being released today, having much more access to all that stuff, etc. It doesn't necessarily make one completely jaded, but just harder to impress or be blown away by something.
