Reminds me more of Nitzer Ebb than what I would call "old school industrial" (e.g., early Einsturzende Neaubauten and Test Dept), but I do kind of like it.

All of this ^ is accurate.

I used to listen to Ministry and Skinny Puppy in the early 1990's. Anyone remember a band called The Final Cut I still pull out "Consumed" every once and awhile.

Still industrial, I guess, just not "old school." At some point in the mid/late '80s, industrial took a much more electronic turn. I still associate "industrial" with people bashing on sheet metal more than drum machines.

Nitzer Ebb is a tough band to classify, yeah for the time they were called industrial.

I still consider industrial old Neubotin, Controlled Bleeding early stuff. Go seek out Volume 1 of the Dry Lungs series on Placebo records. THAT is the clinical definition of industrial music. Probably one of the best samplers ever. Truth be known, ALL of the volumes are terrific as they cover different texture of industrial (not using conventional instruments.

Technically EBM (Electronic Body Music) but yeah they definitely got called "industrial" a lot in the late '80s and early '90s. That Total Age is a classic. I love that album.

I try to catch every Einstürzende Neubauten show here in Berlin, when it is not too outrageous expensive.
I don't own any records, but live I consider them one of the most outstanding unique musical endeavours.

I have Throbbing Gristle mostly on old tapes, but rediscovered them, after I found almost all their albums on CD at Amoeba, SF.

I saw Skinny Puppy the last 2 times they played here. I was never a huge fan but they're one of my go's favourites. They do put on a great show though.
