Somewhere To Go (Victoria BC punk documentary)

From the city that brought you Dayglo Abortions, No Means No, Neos, Red Tide, Dishrags, House Of Commons (Welly's favourite band Haha) etc. Cool to see more of these docs coming out.

I don't know if anyone on here has actually checked out my blog, but last week I posted a double CD comp "All Your Ears Can Hear" that chronicled the Victoria scene from 1978 to 84. Full of rare and unreleased recordings by the bands I mentioned above and more like the pre-Dayglo band Sickfucks.

You really haven't had a favourite band until you've experienced lies, hate, online abuse and baseless allegations. I find it really enhances the experience.

Yeah, that was a really weird fucked up situation. Sorry I brought it up.

On a semi-related note, No Means No just announced on their FB that they've officially retired. Glad I got see them a bunch of times in the 90's and 00's.

"Greetings everybody,John here from NMN and with a heavy heart I must announce the retirement of No Means No.A hiatus became a long hiatus and a lingering hiatus has become a permanent one. Thirty-five years and countless miles, a couple thousand shows and many more beers, a bunch of tunes and sweaty hoards of great fans, I can't say thanks enough to everyone.I will continue to post here on our page about the Robots and future projects if and when they happen. Hoping to have the debut Compressorhead album out by next march so you have not heard the last of things yet.So cheers everyone! Raise a glass….xo"
