I don't find that my friends are getting married these days. It's my nieces and nephews that are doing it Just last weekend, my oldest niece got married. And it was a nice ceremony, she looked beautiful, and pretty good food for a wedding. BUT, it was a dry wedding. It was my sister's daughter, you've heard me speak of her, the born-again Southern Baptist. And that was their choice to have a dry wedding. And I, unlike my father and oldest brother, respected her choice to have a dry wedding, My dad and my brother both brought flasks. Seriously. Now, my two favorite words on any invitation are "open bar", not that I drink to excess or even often at all. But on occasions such as a wedding, it's nice to have a drink or two. Especially if I have to deal with family.
But I'm curious, what are y'alls thoughts on dry weddings? Would you bring a flask with you? Or is that a no no?
