I thought he prided himself on being 50 years old and being a heavy drug/alcohol user. This is nice to hear and I wish him the best of luck. Hopefully we get a cool new NOFX record from it all.

I've liked their post-Punk In Drublic stuff to a degree. Definitely worth a stream online. Nothing earth shattering though but those mid period albums are really good. And they're fun live.

They have between 60-80 minutes of songs that I really like. I made my own CD-R of them.

I think Fat Mike has a warped sense of humor that is great for making people uncomfortable but that said I think the rampant drug abuse and kinda glorifiying it all is a bit pathetic given that he has a daughter and I don't get why he chooses to be fucked up all the time. He also seems to really like talking about fetish sex stuff and going to sex dungeons and stuff, which is fine, but I have zero interest in hearing about it. So, in summary, dude seems like a proud druggie who has a knack for pissing people off and causing a stir.

this made me smile.

whatever he made have stood for, or what he is in to, or whatever other wrongs he has been a part of, and we really don't know the underlying reasons why he is cleaning up...he's trying to make a change.

this doesn't absolve him of his past BS, and the best we can hope for is that he begins to limit that BS going forward.

a few of us know this struggle all to well. I hope the best for Mike.
