Nice! I also went to Our Lady of Guadalupe, but in Hermosa Beach, CA. Dez Cadena also went there, and Peter Criss' daughter, as well (my mom taught her in 2nd grade). Guad Squad!

Yes, great read. And that first Sleeper tour WAS tough, but my memories are mostly happy ones. Even the terrible stuff is now just great story fodder.

Great interview, I really enjoyed it!
So, how many Sleeper/Serpico members are active on this board?
My first introduction to Serpico was a seven inch: They Shoot Babies Don't They? when it came out on Day After (that had great distribution) and it is still my favorite Serpico record.

I also enjoyed reading that, just to get to know him better but also just for historical and just trivia reasons as well. What an impact he has made! Is Sheer Terror popular from past or current stuff? Out of all the bands his has been in, that is the one I don't understand the appeal (over the others)?

Well. Midge is Midge. He's the only soul who played on everything the band put out.
I was only in the band for about a year. I play on the Time and Tide LP and the More or Less 7" . Mike D. played on the following 3 full-lengths, plus...?

Mostly from the older stuff (which is not to invalidate the contributions of the current version/band; they were awesome the two times I've gotten to see them). They were active from the mid '80s to the mid '90s and their 1st Lp Just Can't Hate Enough is considered their classic. They only got back together with the current lineup for This is Hardcore in 2010 and have made a 7" and Lp since then.

Thanks, I was wondering if there are some more Sleeper/Serpico members here that I´m not aware of.

Aquaman played drums but he doesn't post much.

Did Pilster play in any bands with you guys too?

When I´m on the subject, anyone here have a link of Rule Of Thumb - The First Mistake, can´t find it anywhere.
Some Sleeper/Serpico members played in Rule Of Thumb if i´m not mistaken.

I will gladly check the garage for a copy of the Rule of Thumb 12"...I had to chuck hundreds when I moved to CA, hopefully I grabbed a few.
If I have it, it's yours, and I will promise to send in slightly less time than the 8 months I am taking to send Earthdog the Briefs tour LP - I have not forgotten....

My fave Mike D tour memory would be breaking him up walking in to a Baskin Robbins or similar and out of the blue asking the gal behind the counter if she knew where Nipsey Russell lived, that's my go to icebreaker.

Is this directed to me? :)
If so, thanks a bunch, although I would be satisfied with only a download link, but if you have an extra vinyl copy that you don´t need, I will take it.

MikeD mentioned that European tours were tough.
What exactly were the tough times on those tours, I would like to know.

Yes, sorry - I left Aquaman off my Sleeper roll call.

Pilster and I have played in a band called IN CROWD for 20+ years now, although we haven't done a damn thing in the last few.

Love me some Serpico. I'm mostly familiar with the two EVR albums. Is there a place to hear the older stuff online?
I really wish Midge would do another band. I think that last album is the bees knees.

I was looking at the Comments - can't believe someone went looking for the band because of the Todd Barry special!

This is honestly the only era of Sleeper/Serpico that I'm familiar with. Pay special attention to the tracks on Time and Tide. I really love that album.
