I'm working on one now of newer bands from the last few years. Plus I'll put together one of Brandon Ferrell bands for lewdd, and anyone else of course.

If there are no rules, I'm in.

I really haven't made a "best of (insert year)" mix since 2010.

It would probably be a mix of styles/years...whatever I'm into.

I'm in for digital (flac and mp3). Physical media? Notsomuch. It's so twentieth century.

As pre request, here's a sampler of the work of the late great Brandon Ferrell. This is by no means a definitive collection, I found it hard to only pick a few songs from each band he was in and there's a few of his bands I don't have. But here's some Direct Control, Municipal Waste, Government Warning, Career Suicide, Wasted Time, his newest band Commando and his two solo projects Major Damage and Obesessor.

Enjoy.

Shit, sorry about that. Mediafire is funny about certain bands. Try this link…

Would this exchange include returning the live tapes with digital copies that I sent you 5 or so years ago?

Sure. PM me your address. I believe they made the move with me to PA in the same package that was wrapped up to send to you.

Ok, here it is! I wanted to keep it under an under an hour, but I went a bit overboard. It'll still fit on a CD-r though. There's no real theme here except they're all recordings from 2011 to present (mainly of the punk and hardcore variety). I think there's a bit of something for everyone here, hopefully at least a few bands no one's heard before. Enjoy.

My compilation is, as for tradition, about the Italian scene and contains recent songs by bands into different forms of so-calld extreme or btw underground music (from punk to metal, from hardcore to post-everything), quite a wide range one coming to approach and style, so skip what's not your cup of tea and find out those you like (most of them can be downloaded for free from bandcamp). enjoy

Thanks, man! Most of the bands on there can also be found on bandcamp, some were ripped from vinyl by yours truly. I haven't had a chance to listen to yours yet, I burnt it on a Cdr to listen to on my morning commute tomorrow.

It's been about 5-6 years since I made a mix...so it looks like I might make more than one. Haha.

My taste in music sucks almost as bad as my humor so nobody would like whatever I put on my tape, but I think I still have the old comps from years ago, maybe I'll upload those unless somebody already did on the old board?

Listened to your mix on my drive to and from work today. Interesting cross section of genres, I loved that you included more than one instrumental on there. Will definitely check out more material from some of those bands.

Makes me wish I did an all-Canadian comp. But then most of the bands would've just been from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Anyways, let's keep 'em coming! LEWDD!!!

Jim, I didn't get to listen to yours yet. I am too busy making some other comps and filling hard drives for friends that I will be seeing this weekend.
Did you find anything you never heard on mine that you liked?

BUMP!

I know this was Lewdd's idea and it's not as fun without him but there's no reason we can't keep this going.
