There's a 2+ hour documentary on the band up on Netflix. I didn't make it past the 10 minute mark. I gave up soon after whatever-asshole band member started going on about how cool the NY Dolls looked but how much they sucked, couldn't play, blah, blah, blah. The point being that Twister Sister was supposed to be the Dolls but with serious 'chops'.
Seriously, fuck that guy, Fuck 'em in the ear.

I don't know if they are serious, but I do know that they are and always have been terrible.

I like a few of their songs and I thought they might be fun to see live until I saw tickets were over $100 last time they played here. I heard about the Netflix doc, Dee was on it saying that no one was doing what they were doing at the time. I don't think he realizes that TS weren't as important as he thinks they are. Have they even recorded any new music since the 80's?

You guys know I am a fan. I have not seen the doc yet. I doubt I will get to see them on this farewell tour, closest they are coming to me right now is NJ. New music from the band :?: Here ya go:

The TS doc was great, but yeah, those dudes have always been about self-promotion and cash grabbing.

They had like literally 2 very good releases;

Ruff Cutts and the first album. I've seen them. They were fun. Do they really deserve all this?

I second who said they were fun onstage and I liked early albums (Stay Hungry included), but I guess things went a "little" out of hand :D

I still like Twisted Sister up to Stay Hungry. Would go see them if they played here(they won't) But don't care or am not bothered at all if a band wants to do the whole meet and greet thing.

I don't have a problem with meet and greets, just at that price! When I saw Cheech and Chong a few years ago they were doing a meet and greet after their show for $150 (which is still way too much for me) but at least proceeds from it went to the local food bank. Plus, Cheech & Chong would be more fun to meet than Dee Snider.

Always loved Twisted Sister's 80's output (and even liked the first Widowmaker album).
