What's up with this band?

Someone posted a clip. News to me. Not mind-blowing. But I've heard worse.

Great call, not my exact cup of tea but the guys are quite big around here and got some great feedbacks around.
they're touring USA this month

They are pretty big in the Oi!/street punk/glam rock scene here in the USA. I don't quite get it. I saw them live several years ago at the 2000 Tons of TNT fest in Hartford. They were better live than on record IMO, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see them play.

They're like punks obsessed with the Bay City Rollers.

I love 'em.

I saw some of the guys onstage with their previews band Taxi (they quit after one of them tragically died and had a new beginning Giuda), they were super and the singer was a real stage-beast!

Taxi were more my thing, more garage punk oriented

Found this on the net about the links in between the two bands:
The story of Giuda begins in 2007 and is inextricably connected with that of Rome’s punk rock integralists Taxi. When Taxi’s career was cut short by the tragic passing of their drummer, singer Tenda and lead guitarist Lorenzo regrouped as Giuda. The current lineup is rounded out by guitarist Michele adding a second layer of boogie sparks to the mix, while bassist Danilo (himself from an early incarnation of Taxi) and drummer Daniele constitute the groovy yet solid rhythm bedrock without which no good r’n’r could ever be created.

I loved Taxi, was also supposed to interview them and traded some mails with one of them when I received the terrible news, it was truly heartbreaking....

I've never heard a note of their music, but I love those sleeves. I suspect that scannest does, too.

Most if not all of those Giuda sleeves are old glam 7" from the 70's with the band name changed. I was disappointed to discover that, although probably should have expected it. Still like the music quite a lot.
Another similar great band are Faz Waltz.

Welly, you know I'm always glad when some new ideas are added, but ain't this the same with old school hc or street punk and many other stuff we use to love?

Giuda are obviously obsessed with glam (especially Slade).

Their first record "Racey Roller" is good.

The others, not so much (save a couple tracks).

It's been years since I've made a mix, but I'm up for rectifying that. Haha.

Got the mind gears rolling on a new project with 2 of my old buddies. Hopefully we can get down to it and start writing...as soon as my current job situation changes (got laid off from the energy industry last year and have been working 2 shitty mentally/physically stressful jobs since then).

I'd totally be down for doing a mix again. I guess it would be easier to put up something on mediafire or dropbox (or whatever your poison) and just d/l off there.

Let's do it. Can you make me a greatest hits of Farrell in all the bands he played in?

I don't have all the bands he played in, but I can work on one with what I have. I'm working a mix right now with bands from this decade that I've been digging quite a bit.
