Thanks Lewdd and Snake. I tried to respect John's privacy while he was in the hospital by not pestering him with emails and texts during that trying time. I did find one text on my phone from January that he responded to, so I know he knew I was thinking of him, so that helps a bit. :)

Your thoughts were sincere it was easy to see that your friendship with John was genuine. You mention being stoked about him introducing you to band people he knew, but I'm sure he was just proud to call you a friend and introduce those "celebrities" to you.

I just happened to catch this funny little burst of banter when listening to one of GI's circa-1987 shows - a relatively obscure recording, I think? 08/21/1987, Winnipeg, Canada.

Jay and John in a short, coordinated comedy routine. This seemed like a good place to put it.

I only interacted with him a few times on here, but John was a total sweetheart...and a legend as well.
