Underrated band.

I love that record, but it's the only thing I know by them. Saw them live once and they were incredible.

I saw them a few times really early on in '94 or '95 when they only had a 7" or two out and they were indeed fantastic. They were also one of the bands who played the Marginal Man reunion show at the Black Cat show. I enjoyed their set there, too, but I wish the sound was better (for their set, I mean).

Yeah,it's a good quality live lp. Couple of unreleased studio instrumentals on it too (Dead Man's Dream and Last Exit),although one a faint vocal can be heard on.

Both those tracks were officially released on the Ruts Rules CD, I think in the nineties.

i only have the mp3s, but i can't see so much difference in the 2013 mix compared to the original. the live tracks are kind of lacking too. i woudn't pay 150 bucks or whatever they are pricing it at.

Too much NRBQ, not enough Sabbath.

I like it a lot more than I expected based on bits and pieces I heard online. But it runs out of steam towards the end. And there's no Sabbath.

You're joking, right? NRBQ sure for obvious reasons, but I have never heard any Figgs or related solo record that had a trace of Sabbath influence on it. I never even knew Pete liked Sabbath, but then again I was surprised when he told me that VU/Lou Reed is his biggest musical influence as I don't hear that, either. I totally would've expected him to say Elvis Costello or The Stones.
