http://soundcloud.com/the-proper-ornamentsThis is the guitarist from VF's other band. Unsurprisingly, it is very similar to VF, but with a male singer, and a slightly more pronounced '60s vibe. It also reminds me a bit of early Stereolab at times.

This is good shit. Thanks for alerting me to their existence. I like them quite a bit, but not as much as VF (I like very few bands as much as VF, though). It's definitely more atmospheric and less straightfoward, but good just the same. I don't quite hear the Stereolab comparison, though.

Just to qualify my comments, the song "Recalling" (which they've released as a single twice now, back in 2010 and this year as well) is VERY Stereolab-ish. The rest, though? Not so much.
