Think early Black Flag (pre Damaged), Off!, Municipal Waste, Minor Threat EPs...6 songs in less than 10 minutes.

Impressive. Wish the vocals didn't sound so much like Bille Joe Armstrong, but can look past it! Is that Baz from Ripcord/Hersey? You got some UK royalty in the band!

You know because everyone says he sings with a fake English accent so like it would be very witty of me to suggest that you are singing in a fake american pop-punk accent that is trying to sound English? Ah, nevermind.
In all seriousness though, I remember reading an interview where Wat Tyler (who I could never tell if they were kidding or not because..well how could you??!) and they were making fun of Drive singing for trying to sing in an American accent. Now, I love Drive and yes they are very lightweight poppy punk Dinosaur Jr and early Lemonheads stuff and I have no idea if they were thought of as sell-outs by the UK glue-sniffing-dogs-on-string-roll-in-glass-n-vomit punx, but I thought that was a bit ridiculous. Trying to sing American? Seemed a bit nit-picky and petty to me.

Way to go, Welly! Kick the nazis out of cyberspace!
I'll never forget when I went to Washington DC for Damaged City Fest in 2014 and got my Violent UK hardcore bands confused. I thought up and until the pre-fest basement show that I was seeing Violent Arrest until the moment they started and announced they were Violent Reaction.
I mean, turns out I love Violent Reaction but I'm still a little disappointed. I'd have loved to see Violent Arrest too, especially if Welly was involved then.

VIOLENT ARREST - NO FURTHER CHARGES
Due to family commitments, founding members John and Baz have decided that VA is no more with immediate effect. The last gigs were the Bristol Ripcord reunion and at T-Chances in London over the last two weekends. Thanks to all who have supported VA over the last decade or so. There are too many of you to list, but you know who you are.
Now it’s time for the kids to have their say.
Cheers,
VIOLENT ARREST
OK Welly, what's the real story? What did you do?!
