Flew in yesterday, had pizza dinner with Erin a few of our dorkboard friends and Scott Reynolds who stopped by. Then it was off to the fest for some good sets by the SUB|HUM|ANS and the EXPLOITED. FLAG was the headliner and they CRUSHED IT! They were so tight and Dez sang a couple numbers in a raspy box. Kinda harkens back to the old days,

Incredible night on DAG day. I teared up a little when they covered when they covered "Little Friend." Just to have 1/4 of a member of MT perform that song was special to me as was hearing the "Can I Say" material performed by Shawn (who originally sang on those songs) was big too. While I appreciate seeing DAG w/ Pete back then, hearing those songs with Shawn (who has a similar tone like Dave) was again special for me. All four of them just knocked it out of the park last night.

I'm curious on creature's review of the weekend. I missed seeing him and Chris since they both took pics from the stage during the DENTS. We left that area because my friend wanted to see the BUZZCOCKS from the floor and was the DENTS there as well. Chris' pics are amazing on IG.

I don't know if any of you guys are fans other than scannest (he should pay special attention to this), but Ruth Ruth are playing a show at the Saint in Asbury Park on the same night as PBR. The FB event says 11:30. I'm honestly hoping I can catch them after the Descendents' set. I haven't seen Ruth Ruth since 2004 and they've been a favorite of mine since 1996 and I used to see them regularly then (around the time Descendents came back with Everything Sucks and I saw them 3x then in '96/'97, too). Ruth Ruth released an EP on Epitaph at almost the exact same time that Everything Sucks came out, FWIW.

PRB Denver starts tonight. Buzzcocks, DOA, and the Briefs tonight. 88 Fingers Louie tomorrow. And FLAG, Anti Nowhere League and Youth Brigade on Saturday. Should be great (and I don't have to stand outside all day!)

I like the fact that PRB in Denver is all club shows too. I wish there would be more like that. It sucks to have to choose between venues if there are more than one on the same night, but you don't have that problem.

I haven't seen them in almost 20 years, but I do remember this song came off way better live...

I'm also a big fan of the town as well, so maybe that helps too.

If you mute the volume on the tourism board vid, while playing the ruth ruth vid, I think both are improved quite a bit.

Of course. I'll have a rental car, so thankfully I'm more flexible then. Whether I'll be awake/energetic enough for a super late show like that is another matter, but I hope so!

Agreed completely. I like the version of "Braniac" on the 7" more than the Lp version. It's the only Ruth Ruth vinyl I own other than the "Jerome" 7" which I found a few years ago.

I think that will depend on whether they let you out and back in again. They don't allow that in Vegas. Once you are in the event, you have to stay.
