If you have it on ebay it is not for sale, it is for auction.

Best of luck in the auction, Matt77nj. :D I'm figuring you need to sell them to raise money for something important in your life :?: I don't even own the colors you have but had to part with some of mine lately.

Yes it was nice of you to join this board just to try and pimp your auctions.

And so what? There are many people here that might be interested in his records but don't have the time to lurk eBay day and night (not me, but some of you). Plus, it's all about a record, at a fair price from what I see... not some used DN shirt going for $1500.:)

Sometimes people come to spam, then stick around. I have no beef with that. I actually have no beef with spam generally, as long as it's for something some of us might be interested in.

Hummels Government Issue Legless Bull Dischord KBD Punk Hardcore

"Unfortunately my great Aunt Mildred recently took a nasty spill while go-cart riding with her nephew and while they were able to reattach several of her fingers, the skin grafts on 80% of her face did not take and both she and nephew passed away. Skin grafts are a tricky business and apparently goat skin is just not yet working on faces. Anyhoo, my great Aunt Mildred loved her little Hummels, some say she loved them too much, well...my uncle said that and he said it quite frequently, in fact he said it just about every damn time I went over there and she had them out, but I digress...I know that my Aunt would want these four Hummels (she named them Big Tommy, Little Tommy, Big Frank The Mailman, Little Frank the Mailman and I would request that the future owner of these Hummels continue to use those names) would want to go to a great home and, well since she left them to me, I'm selling them to whoever is willing to pay the most of them. So open your pocketbooks and give me some lettuce.

Also included in this lot is several 7" records by the party rock and roll band Government Issue. Including "Legless Bull", which was released on Dischord records. Also included are 11 other G.I. records, information on the particular pressings will be given if request.

Bidding starts at $6,000. "

Considering he just joined the board and his first post was a link to his auction and the fact that he doesn't know the difference between a sale and an auction, I'd say yes.

thanks guys, it's not an easy decision to sell my records but it's the right thing to do for now. I have other auctions but only wanted to post relevant items here, if I had some Hummels there's no doubt I'd sell them before my vinyl.
This seems like a decent place for like minded music lovers so I'll be lurking and posting when I can

ps an auction is a sale

"for sale" or the acronym "FS" indicates something is offered for sale at a fixed price

"for auction" or the acronym "FA" indicates you are auctioning off something on eBay or some similar type of auction scenario. They are not the same thing at all.

everyone i ever see on any given music messageboard is always selling their stuff. as long as it is not a kitchen sink from Glasgow, i could care less.

Okay, as long as they stick around & not disappear after said "auction". Btw- Hummels = important. Sports & Sinks =

My sister just gave me some of her records and among them was a first press Can I Say. It'll replace my $6 press.

Do people really care about first pressings of anything past Subject to Change? Other than the ones on colored vinyl, of course.

yeah people do, but like sst stuff, it usually ends up costing you more money than it is actually worth.
