I'm going to see SLOAN in Brooklyn tonight. They are always great. Don't know how many times I've seen them over the past 20 years.

I just bought tickets to see Cheap Trick at the Fillmore, which is about the size of the 9:30 Club. I'm excited.

That is so much better than our local option. They're playing on Staten Island (which should be a no-brainer for me) but it is a seated theater with decent tickets running around $70. Looks like your show is all GA for $45.

I might go see The Dents play on July 17th.

On my birthday I am going to see Whitesnake in N.H. and then Deep Purple 2 days later.

Awesome on the VH. I need to see them before their caput. Terrific set list this tour.

The Figgs are playing in Cape Cod tonight. If that's an easy trip for you, definitely consider going.

Thanks Scannest. Don't think I can swing 2 events this weekend, if I could I would probably be going to see the Boston area premiere of The Damned movie. I will have to keep my eye out for a Needy Sons show (I saw you liked the digital single, as do I) 8-)

I love the Beachcomber. We were there in 2012 to see The Baseball Project. Mike Mills sat at the table right next to us before the show watching (appropriately enough) a baseball game, but I didn't bother him. I kinda wish I'd chatted him up, though; he seems like he'd be nice.

Great bill you're going to see.

Here's what I have coming up:
The Zombies - Keswick Theater (and doing Odessey and Oracle in full with the surviving original members!!!) in October
Soulside - Boot and Saddle in November

Maybe some other stuff

Cool JGJR-if that Soulside show was on the weekend I would be roadtrippin'. Bummed they aren't doing a N.E. area show.

The Furs/Church show is actually at the Melody Tent in Hyannis. I have not been there before but it looks like there is a record store there that I may need to check out.

I wish it was at The Beachcomber, I have yet to see a show there since I saw Buffalo Tom there many moons ago. :bag:

Going to some good shows in August. Bad Religion/Snuff, Give, M.D.C, and maybe Teenage Bottlerocket. Also hoping to catch The Avengers, but the wife needs to get rid of an on-call shift otherwise I'll be stuck home with the little one. I'd take her along to witness some female-fronted punk rock as it'd probably be a great "first gig", but it's 14+. And she's 5. :(

Sorry for assuming as such. I really like the Beachcomber. And yeah, we've been to the record store in Hyannis. I'm pretty sure it's been discussed on the board. I can't remember its name, though.

Here you go.

A Place to Bury Strangers at the end of the month and then Behemoth in October are all I've got on the agenda.

A maybe over seeing a death metal band called GYZE in September but only because I've seen them before.

Supposed to see Faith No More & Refused tonight at MSG in the luxury box but they didnt sell enough tix so it got moved to the Theater at the Garden, so no show for me......

I did get tix for The Warriors reunion in Coney Island in September!! Watching one of my all-time fave movies on the beach with some cast members & now they added Sick Of It All to the festivities...

I give you the founder of the Daghouse feast, BB, repping Sabbath in their city of birth. Personally I was repping Dag Nasty for which I received a (surprisingly) surprised look from BB, followed by a cheery nod of recognition mid-riffage, which was pretty cool. My first live encounter with one of my all time favourite guitarists, and I was somewhat won over by Bad Religion despite always believing BB's talents are wasted in that band. Good show, but they're no Dag Nasty. ;)
