Does anyone remember the last time you sent a band a request through the mail for a record or cd?.20 yrs at least.Not the same..I miss that..That showed that you actually gave a fuck about a band.Now its auto download..Fuck off..And some wonder why I reject new music..hmmm..The thrill used to be finding the music.Thats what I miss the most.

I mail ordered shit all the time in the '80s. I don't know if I miss waiting 3-4 weeks for a record, and that was from fast shippers, like Dischord. There was a place called Shane's (later called UK/USA) that would literally take YEARS to fill orders sometimes.

I still order stuff from bands often. I am not sure what you're talking about. Just ordered the new Give 12" from Revelation, still waiting on my other Give preorders from the band directly. Ordered the Dark Blue stuff from Jade Tree, etc.

I managed to snag the red, which is limited to 300. I don't care about pressings and whatnot but that still felt pretty cool. Still haven't gotten my Give LP from the band though.
