SEPTA Transpass for January
Coffee with 2 shots of espresso
Dinner (Chinese food stall from the Ardmore Farmers' Market; thankfully we had enough leftovers that we took some for lunch today)
Groceries (Trader Joe's)
the beers I had at the Soulside/Swiz show on Saturday night

I didn't buy this (though I'd been wanting to for months), but my sister-in-law got me Ty Segall's Manipulator on vinyl (it's a 2xLp) as a Hanukkah present. It's so great!

I was late to the party. I tried it for the first time last summer but now I can't eat it often enough. It seems kinda healthy, but probably isn't.

pho is awesome. it can be healthy, but you do better with the fish over the beef, and it is pretty high in sodium.

Stoked, got pho today. I have been fighting off a cold since I flew last week next to two highly infected hipsters who spent the whole flight either making out or coughing and sneezing all over the place. I think the pho was a perfect solution to combat that sickness. I think pho is fairly healthy for the most part (aside from the high sodium) especially if you stay away from the red meat version. At least it's not full of fried food or dairy. I got addicted to the stuff living in Gainesville.

Updated last 5 things purchased:

1. pho
2. Vietnamese coffee
3. pencil case (weird I know, but I am reverting back to elementary school for keeping pens etc. organized in a recent commuter backpack)
4. plastic document tube to transport some old posters from my parent's basement
5. soy late from Starbucks - I was freezing and it was convenient

This is turning out to be a cool thread.

Have you ever seen the documentary on the history of Burt's Bees? I watched it the other day; dude is interesting. Burt essentially gave away/lost the company for a small amount to his hippy turned corporate businesswoman ex-lady friend who then turned around and sold it for a large sum to Clorox. Burt now works as their mascot. He's big in Japan.

I see it pop up on my Netflix recommendations. Given that description, I think I'll add it to my cue. It actually kinda sorta sounds like the beginnings of Urban Outfitters here in Philly, but in reverse (in that case, the male half of the couple is the corporate businessman who still heads UO and the female half ended up being the godmother of the local food movement here).
