From the Mercury Lounge website:

J. Robbins - (Set time: 7:30 PM)

The former frontman of Jawbox, Burning Airlines, and Channels, will perform a rare acoustic set featuring songs from those past bands and his newest band, Office of Future Plans.

Along with cellist Gordon Withers of Office of Future Plans (whose self-titled debut LP was released by Dischord), J. will be digging into the catalog of songs he's written over the past two decades.

It's been several years since J. has paid a visit to Florida, so don't miss this rare performance!

Venue Information:
Mercury Lounge
217 E Houston St.
New York, NY, 10002

I guess we can expect balmy weather in the Bowery this November.

The Channels songs are the best. Request his rendition of John Cale's "Fear is a Man's best Friend".

New York show was most excellent. I could have listened to another hour of J, easily.

J thought he lost his voice at 1 point, but it sounded far from it. I thought he was spot on. Awesome harmonies and the overall mix and playing was wonderful. A great voice.

Saw Zach in the crowd for a few minutes.
