I was drinking outside, to be exact at my friends Cayman The Animal show, they also played the Total Eclipse Of The Heart cover that ended the set in an epic way

This. I honestly can't tell the difference between real sugar cane and that high fructose corn syrup junk in a blind taste test, but I think having the Mexican Coke in a bottle makes a huge difference taste-wise, too.

Supposedly the Mexican coke uses the high fructose corn syrup now too, IIRC

That really sucks. I thought that the trend in recent years was to go away from that stuff, but I guess that 40 plus years of misguided agriculture policy helped by onerous (in the sense that so much of it goes to 3 crops used in processed food) government subsidies year after year (to say the least) is hard to shake off. Even Pepsi has its "throwback" version for sale on occasion with real sugar.

OK, I will get off my soapbox now.
