An education...

An education...

Postby Michele » Tue Aug 13, 2013 4:33 pm

guess my music taste was ruined back in high-school by some notable acts as:
Septic Death
Cryptic Slaughter
DRI
MDC
First Suicidal tendencies album
that was my idea of extreme back in the days...
"Punker": Damnit, your english is confusing!
"Version Sound": Damnit, your english is amazing!
"Cischord": Damnit, my English is confusing!

I sincerely wish all the Septic Death stuff would be released digitally, properly (not a vinyl rip) and in wide circulation.

Prank was supposedly doing a Septic Death discography release years ago. I guess that's never happening.

Pffft. Prank. Shit label. But anyways, I've heard tell of mythical Septic Death discography releases throughout the years that always fizzle. And from what I can gather, it's all because Pushead is either flakey, doesn't give a fuck, or gives too much of a fuck, or is weird as hell.

I think Prank is a great label. Possibly the label I have the most releases by.

Last I heard, the hold up was Pushead putting together the packaging. I'm sure it's dead in the water at this point. What the hell is he doing these days, anyway?

I honestly thought that this thread would be about Carey Mulligan. Boy was I off there!

That was the reason the posthumous Holier Than Thou? record took so long to come out, they were waiting for Pushead to do the cover. In the end, they went with a different artist and it finally came out on Six Weeks this past spring.

Absolutely.
Listening to Punk today is like listening to Glenn Miller in 1982.

i know he did some designs for some kind of soda can. i think he also still has art shows but i am not sure if he attends. i just assume that later in life he got some good licensing deals and doesn't have to work as much as he used to. i know it is hard to find, but the septic death cd he put out sounded great.

I think the thread needs more Carey Mulligan.

My dealings with him were online as well. And I think he's an utter asswipe.

I would also like to state, for the record, that I think he's a lousy fuckface.

PS Besides that, I really do think his label sucks. A bunch of lo-fi, throwback wannabe garbage for the most part. I'm sure there are some exceptions.

They put out good records by Crow and Guaze. WB2D were good too. The other stuff I heard was decent, but not great.

Indeed it does! Or the board in general.

I'm not taking sides here as I don't know either party or what happened, but this statement and your comments in general remind me of this song.
