Wow, these douchebags: A) Have far too much time on their hands when not whackin' it. B) think for too highly about crap like Sunny Day Real Estate and Andrew WK to actually write that much about them. I mean, if they had a clever sense of humor, it wouldn't be so bad, right and C) get paid to write this asscrap? If so, how can I get a job there At least you could all say "I actually know someone who writes for Pitchfork and glad someone there writes entertaining reviews"

Yep. I know I'm in the minority, but I think it's by far their best work. I could honestly take or leave most of the rest of their stuff.

I managed to ignore them until The Rising Tide. Why? I'm not sure, but that's the only one I ever get really into though I like some songs on the album prior to it. I think Diary is good, too, but I never listen to it.

So says most of their fanbase (or seems to anyway) but again it's the only thing I really listen to by them. It's not that far off from the kind of stuff you dug before you got into hardcore (Big Country, et al. but proggier).
