Riot Fest Full Album Sets

I can think of a dozen reasons this is the lame, but still...me want to go there.

This is becoming the modern equivalent of the tribute record.

Yes, but there is something vaguely appealing about the idea of walking from the Cheap Trick exhibit over to the Descendents exhibit over to the Weezer exhibit. And maybe I don't have a great love for Slayer or Samhain, but I'm here and it's a nice night so what the hell.
That sort of thing.

Exhibit being the operative word.

Raygun is also doing All Rise at one of the aftershows, interested to hear if Pierre is fully back on board now. :ugeek:

At the risk of being banned, Jane's Addiction is the only one that piques my interest.

Dude is almost 70 years old.

Sal or Aquaman, please update me on the songs that the Descendents have not played live in 20 years from Milo Goes to College. I am tempted to get a ticket just to listen to that set, but I know I won't go. Maybe I will just listen to it tonight instead.

I'm pretty sure I've never been to a gig where Descendents played:

Parents
Tonyage
M-16
Statue of Liberty - personal fave that had me consider going to Colorado to hear, I know Sal is not a fan of this one
Jean is Dead

I believe Marriage was part of the set from the Grow Up tour, but my mem'ry ain't that good to say for certain.
Asked Bill if they would be doing the MGTC set in AZ and that is a negative...bummed.

The entire Offspring and Jane's album alone would have me pleading with a merch person to choke me till I passed out with a band tee shirt.

This whole festival would be different if you would have been able to make it to Chicago to sing at the Joliet Legion with Pezzati and Smalley as planned about 11 years ago!

Yeah, that would've been a blast but couldn't afford to do it then or now. If one of these Riotfest things comes close to DC (and my friend's in N/R are generous enough to get me a pass in ...), I'd check it out. And if Jeff wants any back-up vox - I think that could happen.

You must have forgotten about me paying for you to fly here and there was a terrible lightning storm in DC that prohibited you from flying out of DC to Chitown back in the Summer of 2003.

He is not. They had a new guy again (not Pete, another new guy). Pierre played a couple of songs at Riot Fest yesterday and got a lot of love from the crowd. He's not physically able to play a full show with them yet.

77 clash, you're right :!:  It's been so long, guess I did forget. Now that you bring it up - that electrical storm was a scary motherfucker :!: I really wanted to do it but wasn't risking my life at the time. I shall be forever grateful for your most generous offer. :D

Thanks for the update MXV. I hope he makes it back to full strength soon and also gets to participate in their new studio work.
