3 words: Mission of Burma. Also, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr (and Deep Wound though I guess they would fall under the "hardcore greats" category), Big Dipper, Buffalo Tom, et al. Lyres, Treat Her Right, Morphine, et al.

That first DMZ record is a masterpiece.

Favorite Boston HC record of all time - Is This My World - Jerry's Kids.

Other bands I love - Bullet Lavolta, Toxic Narcotic, Doc Hopper, Ducky Boys, Opposition Rising, Mouth Sewn Shut.....anyone remember the Dambuilders?

So many great bands from that area. I'm trying to think of some that haven't been listed yet, besides the Cars and Boston.

Yes, yes, and yes. Knew I'd forget a lot. I think I still have the Pop Song=Food 7" somewhere.

Somewhere in a big box of tapes - I have a Dambuilders live show that I taped back in the early 90s at the original Knitting Factory in NYC (before it moved to Leonard St.).....it was quite a show if I recall.....Polvo and My Dad Is Dead also played.....I think maybe Unsane too.
