Lemonheads/Pixies

I wont make this thread part of the "VS" series.Leaving the "Hate your friends" record out of the discussion( We've focused on that in detail here), is it fair to compare the two?..I think we have two similar bands..Thoughts?

I don't find them the same, but that is probably due to being into the Lemonheads since the more hardcore/punk beginnings. The Pixies have always just been the Pixies. To me, the Lemonheads are more like the Goo Goo Dolls than the Pixies.

Not even remotely the same. Lemonheads started as a Punky-garage band and ended up quite a crafty-Pop-rock writing group. Pixies had a lot of Du & Surf in them. Always very Post-Punk to me.

The Taang! Lemonheads albums are three of my favorites. Great stuff.

Absolutely love the first three Lemonheads records. Definitely have moments after that.

No matter how much I tried I could never get into the Pixies. Had a few records and gave them away in the end.
