Why are these guys talked about so rarely? Not as good as PiL with Wobble, but better than post-Wobble. The first album would have been a solid follow-up to Bollocks with Rotten's lyrics and vocals.

Really good pub-rock. I can't imagine this would have been the 'Pistols sound if Rotten stayed on.

IDK, listen to the first LP. The music and production is very Bollocksesque.

Love for all Professionals recordings and Rich Kids as well. Prefer over PIL after Flowers-era. Don't think the Professionals would've worked for Lydon, it's Jonesy's baby. I dig the way he sings on it all.

I agree. Jonesie's vocals are perfect for this stuff. My point was only that if you put Johnny on it, it would make a fine Pistols record. There is always a lot of talk about how they were dead in the water after kicking Glen out, but I think The Professionals stuff shows that they could have carried on with Jones writing the music.
