Yeah, I always lump those guys in with CELL and ST JOHNNY -decent but decidedly noncommercial rock bands who clogged used CD bins for years.

Yeah, I've seen St. Johnny CDs every time I've been to a used CD shop since the '90s and never bought one. Cell, on the other hand, I genuinely like. I've been buying and selling their 2 CDs since they first came out. This makes me want to buy them again...

You should check out Flower and French (one of the members' main bands before and after Cell, respectively) if you haven't already.

There's another band from NY (also another emmapeel) called grand mal that aren't the great band the DC pre-Holy Rollers/Velvet Monkeys/Gumball/Deathride '69) were. BINGE/PURGE is a great Joy Division-ish record and Wetherhead used to cover "Fear to Feel". 8-)
