The CBGB bio-film looks interesting ...

The credible portrayals seem like the following: Rupert Grint (Cheetah Chrome), actors doing The Ramones, Tom Verlaine, Patti Smith, Alan Rickman (Hilly Krystal), and my friend Donal Logue. The ones I have trouble buying is actor from Breaking Bad (Stiv Bators) because he looks more like the guy saying "Warriors, come out & playyyy-eee-yay" & Taylor Hawkins (young Iggy).

Perhaps it's a fair impression of that NYC punk era but the proof will be in the performance, eh :?:

it looked interesting, but after i went on imbd and checked the writer and director credits, i didn't have much hope for it. the guy directed the 6th man and has done a bunch of shit movies. the trailer did not really do anything to dissuade my original position. the co writer/ producer claims to have hung out there in the early 80s, but i don't know how much that matters. if the source material was from someone who had been there at the time, i would be more interested.

also, stabb-what did you think of the killing ending? i thought it was too seven-ish and not that good.

I hate to say it but from what I've seen, I think the movie is going to be corny as hell.

I looked it up. Linda Cardellini is in it and I admittedly have a weakness for some of Adam Sandler's stuff and for cheesy/ridiculous comedies like that in general, so I may watch it soon (Amazon instant video seems to have it). I wonder how I missed it?

YNE, I wasn't thrilled about the ending for The Killing. After all that build-up, I finally (Yeah, so I'm not a detective  ) figured out who the killer was but it was a let-down of an ending. 1st season's ender was great. Still one of my favorite shows.

i felt like they were almost in a rush to get the show off the air, with the two hour openings and closings. felt like they threw together an ending after the hanging episode. i like how sarah is stone cold, but i don't think the ending necessarily lines up with her ethics. i guess the ratings were 1.5 million and there is no word if it is getting renewed.
