That Metal Thread

This is a surprisingly addictive album.

Bottom heavy like HUM with rhythms that while some are repetitive, the vocals are real tuneful and intriguing.

Prolly classified as stoner rock, but I like it plenty.

I discovered them. Meanderthal and the Songs for Singles EP are their best.

Don't you remember - I invited you both times I saw them (once in your building's laundry room) and you were "busy" both times.

Fact: The new Carcass album 'Torn Arteries" is a ripper.

I'd compare it to a cool summer breeze on a picnic at the park.

If the picnic was covered with horrific rotting human body parts. And blood.

These vegans certainly know how to make people thrash and/or vomit. And some acoustic guitars this time?

Best song title: Eleanor Rigor Mortis.

WHAT AN ALBUM. There's a 9 minute song that doesn't get boring. AND HANDCLAPS!!!!!
I LOVE IT!!!

Prediction: This will be the biggest metal album of 2021.
And the packaging for the pre-order is one for the books.

Rock Out (with your cock out) may be my favorite lyric

I have 56 songs on my playlist thru the first 6 albums including songs on deluxe editions.

Hear hear. I'd heard "Ace of Spades," "No Voices in the Sky" (MTV videos on the Ball) and maybe another song or two before that, but my real introduction to them was this Castle cassette I got at my hometown's Pathmark in 1992 that has songs from Iron Fist and Another Perfect Day and I love those albums the most today, especially the latter, likely for that reason.

My introduction to Motorhead was on the Young Ones when Lemmy sang "Ace of Spades" in their living room. I am trying to decide whether to buy the 4LP or 2LP greatest hits that is coming out in October which is why I have been going through their catalog on Spotify to identify songs that I may like. If the 2LP has most of them, then that will be the route I take.

Iron Maiden- Senjutsu

Holy Crap! Their best album since “Brave New World” Been listening non-stop. A great mix of Maidens different styles, much better than the total prog-metal of the last album.
I hope they tour for this one and not a rehash of an old tour lie,t save been doing the last few years.

Are they reissuing No Remorse? Or is this a new track listing? That comp is nearly perfect IMO.

Brian Roberts was an amazing and perfect replacement for Fast Eddie if he had to be replaced. Robbo was a great hard rock player. And he also brought some new, melodic elements to the band that were sprinkled in just perfectly that they still retained their overall trademarked sound.

Yup. It's a damn shame that he only played guitar on that 1 album. Their BEST album.

Couldn't agree more here; I wasn't around back then (well I was 8), but I heard the fans didn't accept him, he refused to play "Bomber," et al. I really don't care. That album rules. Plus, he was in Thin Lizzy, so there's that, too. :D

If you had a choice of listening to a playlist of songs by Iron Maiden or Motorhead which would you choose?

Orgasmatron is the next release up on my list to listen to on Spotify. I need to knock the rest of their albums out soon so I can place my order for that greatest hits release.

I'm really enjoying the new Exodus album; 'Persona Non Grata'.

Truth be known, Gary was terrific in Slayer, but lb for lb, I've always liked Exodus' music better. They could play thrash metal just as good and their grooves were much more fun to me.

All three singers had their moment. Zetro (as much as some people don't like his voice) still sounds fine to me.
